Private Lands Biologist (Smithfield)
Bob Glennon is a private lands biologist serving clients of the USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries in southeastern Virginia. His clients’ principle interests are establishing and managing habitat for quail, rabbits, songbirds, and pollinating insects. He has 40 years of experience in natural resource management. Bob is a 24 year veteran of the USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service and a 6 year veteran of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He has worked in 20 states, mostly as a conservation plant materials center manager and specialist. Because of his plant materials background, he also gets requests for assistance on coastal dune and marsh revegetation, freshwater wetland restoration, streambank stabilization, and windbreak establishment. Bob is a Certified Forester with the Society of American Foresters.
