Justin Folks

Private Lands Biologist (Verona)

Justin Folks is a Private Lands Wildlife Biologist with the Virginia Quail Recovery Initiative—a partnership among CMI, the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, and the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service—where he has provided technical assistance to landowners wishing to do habitat management for quail, songbirds, pollinators, and other early successional wildlife since 2012.  He received his B.S. in Biology and Environmental Science from Bridgewater College and M.S. in Range and Wildlife Management from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, studying white-tailed deer foraging behavior in response to population density.  Prior to graduate school, Justin worked as the Chronic Wasting Disease Technician for VDGIF.
