We have been involved with biodiversity conservation across Virginia, the US, and internationally since our beginnings as a department center. We work with our sponsors to address all aspects of biodiversity conservation and research from field surveys to management plans to habitat restoration. Our staff work together to combine their expertise to ensure our approaches are based in sound science and our results provide the greatest benefit to the sponsor and other collaborators.

We collaborate with other researchers from Virginia Tech and other universities, CMI affiliated research staff, state agencies, and others. These collaborations not only improve our approach but help us build strong partnerships to make us better-able to address the complex issues affecting biodiversity today.
