Morgan Harris

Eastern Hellbender Initiative Coordinator

Morgan Harris earned his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology and Ecology in 2012 and a Master of Science in Biology in 2014 at Appalachian State University. Morgan began his career as an aquatic wildlife biologist at the NC Wildlife Resources Commission as a Conservation Technician and has since worked in the non-profit sector at Wild South as their Conservation Biologist and as a Private Lands Biologist for the Conservation Management Institute (CMI). Currently, Morgan is the Hellbender Working Lands for Wildlife Coordinator with CMI, training and providing guidance to CMI’s team of Hellbender Private Lands Biologists, while continuing his work as a Private Lands Biologist – helping guide farmers and landowners through the complexity of farm bill programs and conservation planning for aquatic habitat improvement on agricultural lands.
