Jonah A. H. Fielding

Undergraduate Research Fellow

Jonah grew up on a family owned horse and cattle farm in central Virginia and has spent his life enjoying the outdoors in a variety of ways from long backpacking trips to fishing. These experiences were expanded on further through the Boy Scouts and completion of the Eagle Scout rank. Therefore, a major in natural resource and environmental management was an easy choice. Jonah is also involved in Greek life at Virginia Tech, holding an executive position for the past year in FarmHouse Fraternity. He hopes that his experiences with CMI will provide opportunities for new thinking and understanding of conservation and management that aren’t otherwise available. Expecting to graduate in Spring of 2019, Jonah plans to pursue a career in forest harvesting, management, or consulting so that he can continue to appreciate and enjoy the outdoors.
