Private Lands Team

CMI private lands biologist talking with a land owner

Through collaborative efforts with federal, state, and non-governmental natural resource management agencies, CMI employs a team of private lands biologists (PLBs), engineers (PLE) and engineering assistants (PLEA). The PLBs are responsible for engaging land owners and producers, and facilitate wildlife habitat implementation and improvement practices through planning and incentive programs. Our engineers work with our PLBs on projects involving stream channel design and habitat restorations.

The team is presently working on two important habitat initiatives: the Virginia Quail Recovery Initiative, and the Eastern Hellbender Conservation Initiative
