Andrew Rosenberger

Andrew Rosenberger is the Private Lands Biologist for southwest Virginia working with the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries and the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service.  He  works with landowners to help them better manage their property for wildlife with an emphasis on restoring habitats that are under-represented on the landscape.   

Prior to becoming a Private Lands Biologist, Andy worked on a variety of projects at CMI ranging from habitat mapping to the promotion of native warm season grasses in the Chesapeake Bay region. He also participated in aerial surveys of menhaden and horseshoe crabs, youth education, designing and delivering professional development courses, an economic impact assessment of the Virginia Birding and Wildlife Trail, and studies of human-wildlife interactions.
